Summer is well and truly here! In this post I’ve put together some things that have caught my eye in the shops and online! I’ve left a few comments on some of the items about how I would style them.
In regards to my shoe suggestions, my reality is that I wear sneakers every day. They’re all I find comfortable for my foot injury. So far, the only time I don’t wear them is for special occasions. My footwear suggestions are my way to day dream about a life where I can wear whatever shoes I want.
Sportsgirl Ruffle Strap Button Midi Dress
I saw this in store and I don’t think this image does the dress justice. I would totally dress this up with heels and a smokey eye, or dress it down with tanned sandals and a denim jacket!
Sportsgirl Boho Maxi Dress
Historically, this type of cut rarely suits me (I can’t really pull off a cinched waist) but I love the look of this dress! I can just imagine styling this with a tanned strappy heel and dainty gold accessories. It also looks like something you could transfer to your autumn wardrobe with boots and a long cardigan.
Witchery textured Halter Dress
I looooove a good halter dress.
Country Road Print Pleat Dress
Wow – just wow! This dress is just so stunning and it’s so hard to find stuff like this in Australia! It reminds me of a dress Solace London would do. I would wear this to a special event with statement gold earrings (just plain gold) and a simple black heel…or maybe even white as they’re having a moment.
Country Road have really hit the nail on the head with their summer clothes this year!
The Fated Feroce Godet Midi Dress
I have a casual leopard print dress that reminds me of this, yet I feel like my dress is its inferior cousin lol.
Country Road Pleated Cami
I’m not one to spend a lot on tops as I’m so clumsy! This is $130 and I think that’s a little expensive. I hope that Kmart or Target does a more affordable variation of this top that is good quality!
This pleat cami is the type of thing that goes with everything: shorts, skirts, jeans or pants.
This entire outfit from Country Road
Minus the shoes that remind me of platform slip-ons I had in the 90’s. I’d prefer to wear a tanned or black leather sandal.
